Deputy Manager

Job Description

The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of JandP Healthcare Services’ Supported Accommodation service for vulnerable young people aged 16–17. The role involves supporting staff teams, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, promoting positive outcomes for young people, and acting as a senior leader in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Assist the Registered Manager in delivering a high-quality supported accommodation service in line with Ofsted requirements.
• Provide effective line management and supervision to Support Workers and Team Leaders.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager as required, ensuring operational continuity.

Safeguarding & Compliance

• Ensure that safeguarding is always the highest priority — act as a safeguarding lead as required.
• Maintain compliance with Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, Working Together to Safeguard Children, GDPR, and data protection standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor health and safety requirements.

Service Delivery & Outcomes

• Support the delivery of individualised support plans for each young person.
• Monitor the quality of care and support through audits, observations, and regular feedback.
• Promote independence, education, and life skills for all young people.
